Glenn Heights “Noon Prayer” and Disaster Recovery

At noon on Thursday, December 31, 2015, Mayor Leon Payton Tate will host a “Noon Prayer” at the City of Glenn Heights City Hall. Mayor Tate will also offer perspectives on the State of the City as well as the response, recovery and long-term planning efforts following the Saturday December 26th F3 tornado that struck the city.

Members of the faith community are asked to come together for prayer as we recognize that often, in times of crisis, households of faith are the first entities that respond to offer comfort, care and support.

“We are encouraged by the resilience of the residents of the City of Glenn Heights and look forward to continuing in our assistance to them during this difficult time. We want to ensure that our residents know that we care about their needs and that our support will be consistent,” says Glenn Heights Mayor, Leon P. Tate.

Members of the local community are encouraged to attend as information will be shared about what has been done and what progress is being made in the recovery effort. Representatives from local, county and state responder agencies will be on hand to answer questions and to provide insight.
