The City of Glenn Heights will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by having a DAY OF SERVICE focused on recovering our community in the aftermath of the December 26th, 2015 tornado. We will host NINE service projects providing the opportunity for volunteers of all ages to make an immediate impact and lasting difference.
Event Date: Monday, January 18, 2016 Start/End Times: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Registration Location: Glenn Heights City Hall and Volunteer Reception Center 1938 South Hampton Street, Glenn Heights, TX 75154
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO “CHECK IN” ON EVENT DAY AT THE VOLUNTEER RECEPTION CENTER --PROJECT INDEX-- PROJECT 1: VOLUNTEER GLENN HEIGHTS! REGISTRATION PROJECT 2: DEBRIS REMOVAL PROJECT 3: COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP PROJECT 4: GLENN HEIGHTS “GENERAL STORE” PROJECT 5: GIFT CARD DISTRIBUTION (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM only) (to impacted residents) PROJECT 6: GIFT CARD DONATION DRIVE PROJECT 7: TOY/STUFFED ANIMAL DRIVE PROJECT 8: NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DRIVE PROJECT 9: HOUSEHOLD GOODS COLLECTION DRIVE
